aliceday
aliceday wishes to over-cross existing borders, by inviting artists who work in diversity and in the mixing of different means of expression, who transcend settled categories.
Starting from this dynamic, it appeared particularly important to us to show artists coming from different geographic horizons in order to put in confrontation works emanating special cultures. Nevertheless this political one does not prevent us to represent abroad the young Belgian artists that we defend.
The upper floor will be devoted to temporary exhibitions. The front window will allow projections. In the basement, one will find a space dedicated to video.
The artists aliceday chose are all, in their way, the reflection of our new approach, that is: Nobuyoshi Araki (JPN), Stéphane Calais (FRA), Philippe Durand (FRA), Dolorès Marat (FRA), Didier Marcel (FRA), Barthélémy Toguo (CMR), Cheri Samba (COG), Charlemagne Palestine (USA), Nina Bovasso (USA), Heidi Anderson (USA), Rachel Howe (USA), Rachel Lowther (GB), Royal Art Lodge – Marcel Dzama, Neil Farber, Michael Dumontier (CAN), Harald Thys & Jos de Gruyter (BE), Aline Bouvy / John Gillis (BE), Jacques Lizène (BE), Walter Swennen (BE)
Gérard Byrne (IRL), Blaise Drummond (IRL).
