Founded in 1970, The Michelle Rosenfeld Gallery is a family-owned gallery. The original focus of the gallery was contemporary artwork, but in the 1980s, when Herbert Rosenfeld joined his wife, the focus of the gallery expanded to include the major works of the 19th and 20th centuries. Michelle and Herbert have recently welcomed their children, Karen and Jason, into the family business. As a public gallery we cater to the public, as well as to our private clientele, providing a broad range of services including, advisory services, appraisals, market analysis, lectures, placement, lighting, framing, restoration, and evaluations. We have frequently showcased promising new artists, and have sponsored numerous public art awareness events including free public art walks, and gallery tours. The gallery specializes in Modern Masters, Contemporary Masters and Impressionists. Whether you are considering a first purchase, or adding to your collection, we will work with you to select artworks which best reflect your taste and interests.
With over 35 years in the field, we have built a name and reputation that assures our clientele of the quality and value of the artwork and services that our gallery provides. The Michelle Rosenfeld Gallery is located at 16 East 79th Street, between Fifth and Madison Avenues, in New York City. The gallery occupies a historic townhouse located two blocks from The Metropolitan Museum.
