Neuhoff Gallery
Established in 1994, Neuhoff Gallery is among the recognized dealers of contemporary painting, sculpture, photography and works on paper. In addition to primarily exhibiting contemporary artwork, the inventory includes the work of a global spectrum of Modern Masters. While the majority of the artists are internationally recognized, we exhibit many emerging artists, often presenting their work for the first time in New York.
Our artists exhibit in their work a unifying sense of vitality which spans the modern and contemporary art world. Whether our artist balances geometric forms with a precision that relieves them of their metalic weight and defies the forces of nature as does sculptor, Fletcher Benton, our artists are joined by a certain dynamic energy, by emotion, and by the fact that they are passionate about what they do. The energetic paint splatters of a work by Sam Francis, who dutifully carved his own channel through the modern art world, correlates to the contemporary work of Gabriela Machado, whose instantaneous brushstrokes exemplify bold compositional skills. In a similar way, the acrylic on mylar streams by the artist Katy Stone capture the energy imbued in individual forces of nature. Her work relates to that of Stacey Neff, whose blown glass and mixed media sculptures are amorphous and biomorphic, making connections between the inside and outside of the body and mind. All of our artists work together in a conjunction of modern and contemporary in a way that is not too remote for the viewer to grasp.
The gallery is located on the corner of 57th Street and Madison Avenue in the Fuller Building, a New York landmark, which has long been considered the center of the New York art world. Each year, the gallery participates in a variety of national and international art fairs. We look forward to welcoming you.
